I was playing around with the UI the other day and modified the target window to show percentages. Then I bandaged myself up to the point where the target window showed 49% (this is on a low level alt without the increased bind wound skill) yet every attempt to bandage failed with the "greater than 50%" message.
So 49% is greater than 50%? Yay Verant <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

Had the same trouble around 70%. So I removed all % numbers and now just look at the red bubbles <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)">

It's been an issue for a long time. Approximately 48% is usually OK, but you get too close to 50% and it no longer works. Oh well...

I would guess that you can't bandage *to* over 50%, so it works out how much you will get from bandage and then if that would take you over 50%, stops you from doing it?
Just a guess, I don't use it myself....

You can bandage over 50%, it's just that you can't bandage once you become within 10HP of 50%. It' just a stupid math error on Verants part

I allready noticed that and thought it was due to +STA items that increase your max HP but may not be takken in account...

No, I have about 60 STA on my gear, which is a good chunk of HP. It is taken into account with how much I can bandage, I always get up to 70%.

It's a bug been around about 18 months now. I wrote to Verant about it some thing like this.
When I bind wound I use this formula (total hp divided by 2 = 50% , then minus 10 hp, now this equals programers 50%). Could you please pass this "programing math" along to your accounting department? I'm sure they could figure the programers pay checks like this and they would never miss the 10 dollars and you could use this money to pay my account.
All I got back was a laugh that I was probably right.

Aye long time bug but now with % atleast you know when to stop. At 70% and 90% I was always wasting a bandage to make sure I had used the max. Basically it rounds everything up. It cals say if you are for example =<49% you can BW - well 49.000001% kicks it off.
I will say though that now that I am 100% BW - it should allow me to bandage at 99% - it will never allow you to go over your max hps anyways.
