View Full Version : Winter Event is on live - and it's pretty cool

This year's winter event features a Ski Chalet that can be accessed through Pocket D. Father Time is here and gives out a mission, which when completed offer you a choice of rewards: Either unlocking a costume piece (Santa Gloves and Boots) or one of two temp powers (Debt protection and Single-target hold). Heroes and Villians can team up for this mission.

There's also a slope you can "ski" down that's acctually quite fun. You also get a couple things just for logging in. A Santa Hat costume piece, for one, and two temp powers: A power that grants 48 hour debt reduction when used and a "Special Present" you can give to another player, which contains a suprise that on teams of 5 or more just might be a Winter Lord...

And, of course, badges.

All in all they really put together a kick-ass event this year, it's worth checking out if you're in the spirit.

Earmuffs for logging in. The santa hat would be one of the rewards if you are given a gift by another player I believe

It most definetly is Ear mufs you get for logging in.

Which raises the question: Where the hell did I get this santa hat??

Musta been one of the previous winter events that I can't remember too well.

I played around with on the slopes. They're quite fun, although you can ski UP the slopes too.

It is nice that you can repeat the quest so you can get all four of the badges.

The mission is very easy, though I couldn't beat the final boss solo :(

Santa Hats were from Operations Scrooge (villains) and Holiday Cheer (heroes) last year. Doing those awarded the santa hat.

They can also be gained this year via presents that you can get from others, or the zone spawn presents.

I've beaten the final boss with a high level tanker, a mid-20's scrapper, and a mid-20s Dominator. I might be able to do it with my low-30s rad defender, but I'm not that sure I could do it with my mid-30s kinetics defender. Guess I'll find out tonight. If not, I can always get a couple of groupies.
