Howdy all. CoH started it's Halloween events on the 18th. Basically there's a couple Giant Monsters spawning in most zones (the two from Croatoa) for various badges and you can "Trick or Treat" by clicking on random doors.
Sometimes while ToT'ing you'll get a special piece of salvage. Get all 4 and you can turn them in to a witch in Croatoa to unlock a 5th costume slot. It's pretty easy to get all the salvage (if a bit boring at times waiting for your "door timer" to reset), although some of my characters have had more luck than others.
Basically, once you click on a door and get a Trick or Treat you have to wait one full minute before you can do so again. Either result is random. A "Trick" results in a group of enemies exiting the door (even level with the one who spawned them). A "Treat" is a random inspiration and sometimes you get a piece of Event Salvage. You can only ToT in zones appropriate to your level, although SK'ing and Exemp'ing will also work if you wish to play with friends. Pretty simple, and the 5th costume slot is a very cool reward.
