Yes, it is.

Not sure why a spell to strip magic doesn't get a resist like any other detrimental spell. Oh well.

lol, been doing Lair of the Blackwing? I've never come out of that without asking for conviction at least 3 times.

Some dispellers are just annoying, I keep 2 instaclicks and 2 fairly fast clicks ready at all times to rebuff. The ones that suck are chromodracs (dispelling once or twice is one thing.....chain dispelling continuously is just there to piss people off), and MOB's that will bypass 10 buffs to take Con. If you don't have Con they'll take Bali or Wunshi or Steel. How they hell they can bypass all of my junks to get the one that belongs to the class that isn't in my group I'll never know.

I get fustrated and then lazy having to switch out my clickies, and ask for buffs all the time so now i just go commando for most zones that have alot of dispells.

+ it makes the ranger feel usefull having to patch heal =P

I use Savage Guard (Serrated Dart of Energy) and Form of Endurance (dunno what number.. Veil of Inferno :) ) as my top buffs, if soloing i have Vengeful Guard (Cloak of Retribution) and if no shammy, Shield of the Arcane ;)

Blackwing Nest i rarely get dispelled now, and it usually takes 3-4 of my buffs when i do get dispelled :P

Coldain Ring, then Grimror bracer, then CR clicky from DoD, then Form of Endurance, then overhaste is my first 5 slots 99% of the time.

The amount of profanity that my group is subjected to when I get dispelled is comical.

the same could be said w/ a couple of my friends who i know really dont care (my RL friend for one) after i spend 2 hours getting buffs and pay 3x more than i normally do, walk into a zone and have my buffs stripped...

They should make like dispell immunity or something. As far as clickies, I use DoDh Magic resist for top, FoE3, Savage Guard, Primal Guard, Random Illusion.

The crappy part is, it's unresistable and levels really don't seem to affect it. I've been dispelled by mobs many, many levels lower than me. =/ Lame.

To my knowledge dispell is resistable.

The trick is that it always gives a success message (when it lands on you). It just doesnt always strip buffs.

It depends on the spell used. Recant Magic - you aren't going to "resist" it. 4 buff gone bye-bye, pretty much the same with Annul magic. Both have counters which theoretically make it "resistable" but, never seen either of those two fail. The counters in the spells don't check against any natural resists, just some in game dice throw.

Cancel Magic however, which just has one counter of the remove magic, now that one I've "resisted" more than a few times.

Then there are those spells that first have a DD or DoT which have a resist normal resist component and if they land then trigger a dispell - if you resist the spell the dispell doesn't trigger.
