Question about Macro's and the new UI

Sorry if this had been addressed before, checked first 6 pages or so and didnt come across anything that helped.



Heres the problem...I finally got epic'd today (YaY <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D"> ) and used the keyboard/macro controls of the new UI to bind my number 8 hotbank(epic) to the number 2 bank(flying kick). Real easy to do, quick and painless.



Now I know that it makes that same change for all hotbanks 1 through 10, no big deal there. But when I log onto another character on the same account, those changes are still in affect, so I have to go back and change the macro so that the number 8 hotbank is tied to the number 8 on the keyboard. And once I log on my monk have to do the change again...you get the point.



Does anyone know of a way to set indvidual character macro's with the New UI? As in when I play my monk the number 8 hotbank is tied to the number 2 bank. But when I log on another character, its back to its original configuration. It really isnt a chore to do the changes, just a bit annoying. Just curious if by editing any of the UI files, or by some other stroke of genius this can be setup.

Welcome to Core EQ programming 101...



There isn't a way to seperate the keys via charecter, as these are placed in with your general settings such as text chat color's.

However what you can do is set the secondary key for both 2 and 8 to something like q, and then everytime you tap q, 2 and 8 will go down. But log to another charecter and hit q and 2 and 8 will go for them as well.
