New Skyshrine Quests

As I am on the Legends Server, I am getting a chance to sift through some of the new Skyshrine quests.



As I complete them, I will post the more monkly results here.



The first is a revamped quest using the Mercenary Brooches frmo the mercenaries in WL.



Turning in 3 brooches yields the following:



Potion of Draconic Rage

NO DROP

Charges: 5

Effect: Draconic Rage



It is listed as not usable by monks, but it is.



Draconic Rage is a 10 minute buff that causes you to randomly proc a 65dd during battle.



I have not had it resisted yet, and it seems to go off at least once per fight.



The quest takes about 3 minutes to complete and the potions aren't lore.



Anyway, seems like a quick and easy way to add to your dps if you are friendly with CoV. I am ally. Not sure if that is necessary to complete the quest. I doubt it though.



Additionally, there is a second level of the quest where you get a greater reward for turning in the Mercenary Captain Brooches.



I am working on that one now. The captains are Captain Glarg (in WL), Captain Ulmog (in EW) and Captain Mc'Hersh (no idea where he is).



As soon as I find Captain Mc'Hersh I will let you know what the next reward is.

Would you mind posting the classes it says can use this item? Once/If it goes live would be a fun little quest if my cleric can use them.

According to the item it is for the following classes.



WAR, PAL, RNG, SHD, ROG, BST



Even thought Monk is not listed, I can use it. /shrug



They may correct it later, or it may just be a typo that we are left off.

I can't find the link now, but someone from Stormhammer said the heads from the 4 dragon killers were for one of the new skyshrine quests; resulted in shoulders (I think Plate classes) that were just 'ok'; decent reward at L50 I think was the way they were described.

Finally found the guy in Kael.



The reward was not too exciting.

AC 8, Str 8, Sta 4, HP 10, Fire 2, Cold 2

WAR, CLR, PAL, SHD, BRD



Not monk useable.

Congrats on completing the quest, but boy you're right, something's lacking on that reward. If they made it into another slot maybe it'd be worth running around like a nut, but oh well. :P

So these are ONLY on Legends? Man, that would be real nice to have. I really like teh 3 minute quest.

Only on Legends at the moment.



I am sure it will transfer over in a coming patch. I posted it so that if you really wanted to, you could collect a sack or two of the brooches now to be used when the quest goes live.



I have found the potions to be a ice addition to my overall dps. It is resisted sometimes but not often.



I also learned in UP that mobs can "interrupt" your spellcast.

I assume he's talking about the card-like items they drop?

No they now drop Broaches in addition to the cards. Look like a goldan pendant loot or copper pendant loot.
