Using the UI

Ok before I took my break from EQ the new UI was working fine. I downloaded a new ui that I found and loaded it like it said but when i go to load the skin it just gives me the default look. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

Delete your UI folder, then remake it (empty) and unpack ONLY the modified files into it. EQ will grab the other files from default now. You likely have a file that has a now changed format in your mod folder, and it's using the old version instead of the new one. (Short form - you don't need an entire copy of the default folder anymore.)

When was this change made? Didn't catch it in a recent patch message.



So let me get this straight ... You only put the files you changed into your new directory (mine is woot) with no copying from the default folder, so If I only wanted a custom target window I'd only put EQUI_TargetWnd.xml (or whatever the file is) in woot and /loadskin woot 1 will work as before?
