Problem with Geist UI since last patch

Since the patches last week, I am getting an error onscreen when the UI loads.



It does load the UI but I still get the error message. It does NOT log the error to the UI_errors.log (or whatever it is called).



Sorry if this has already some up. I searched and did not find a topic.



Anyone know what the problem/fix is?

You said it still loads the UI (as in doesn't drop to Default UI, right), but what's the error message? Just "error loading /xxxxx?"

it says, becuase i get it too, not only on guiests



something to the order of....



"Error Loading XMl Files, your XML files are not in sync with current Everquest standards, please type /loadskin defualt 1 to load the defualt everquest skin"

I got that error as well and just moved over any newly updated files from the Default UI folder. The mod loaded just fine at that point.

You don't need the files from the default directory any longer. Just unload your modified xml into empty directory. If there's files missing it needs it picks them up from the default folder.



Doing otherwise is just invitation for crashes whenever they decide to patch new files into the default folder.

Are you saying just upload your geist files stright to a default folder?

i re-downloaded his ui, re-installed it, and re-downloaded the patch, everything i could think of...and i cant get this UI to work properly. most everything works, but for some of my clicky armor that i want to make a hotkey for wont let me. whenever i click and hold on an item to make a hot key, i get booted to desktop. the hotkeys that i had already made previously to the patch work fine, but i cant make any new ones for items. dont know how to fix this....so any imput would be appreciated <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">
