Okay, I'm the first to admit I don't eat in any extreme health fassion. I thank my body build in which allows me to keep thin. But I do have to admit the reasons I don't eat the healthiest isn't cause I don't like other foods, it's just I can't seem to go through them by the time they spoil/go bad while storing them in the fridge so I just stopped buying them.

I'm mosting trying to do things like get bags of salad, carrots, misc stuff which tend to dry out/go bad within a week or two. And most of these things you can't just buy in a small pack, they come in a bag the size for a family for two or more days. Being single, that's a lot of food. 0.o

Now I'm questioning, how can I store these things in the fridge and prolong their storage?

vacuum packing them

www.foodsaver.com

get a foodsaver and several of the cannisters

also do not get the cut up bags of salad mix they go bad faster than the lettuce heads

get a full "stalk" of like lettuce, if it is starting to wilt, trim a slice off of the bottom of the head and soak it in some water, the lettuce should come back to being unwilted (the wilting is just lost water)

in cannisters -vaccuum packed -most veggies last 2 or 3 times longer than just tossed in the veggie bin.

romaine lettuce tends to last longer than an most of the others
